MC_LogoMeet Michael Catsillieris from our Melbourne Office. A keen fisherman, when Michael’s not helping Centrix clients, his family and friends with their IT, he hits the water every chance he gets.

When did you start at Centrix?

I started in September this year. Before joining Centrix I was working at another IT firm doing network engineering. I was looking for a new challenge and a different and more professional and proactive approach to IT services. Some other places wait for things to break before they fix things and Centrix are the opposite to that.

What’s the best part of your job?

Meeting new people. Working for different companies every day is good. It’s not the same problem you are dealing with every day. The variety keeps you engaged, challenged and interested in your work.

What’s the most fun thing you do outside of work?

I go fishing any chance I get. The best catch I’ve had lately was a 4.5kg snapper! It fed the whole family. I also like to play soccer and love a game with friends. We had a good day at Camp Centrix recently playing bubble soccer.

What are you famous for?

Helping all my family friends with their IT stuff and also being a mad fisherman. You’ll find me out fishing a couple of times a week and always watching fishing shows.

What’s your favourite motto?

“Never leave that til tomorrow, which you can do today.” A great quote by Benjamin Franklin.
