Josh Barwell - Help Desk Technician, Centrix SolutionsMeet Josh Barwell, one of our newest additions to the Centrix team. Hailing from Taree, Josh loves helping clients, fixing things and changing things up.

When did you start at Centrix?

I started at Centrix 2 weeks ago at the beginning of May. Before I started here I was at a Managed Services provider in Taree so it’s a fairly big move to come to Sydney. I got the job and started the next day. Once I got the offer from Centrix I drove down overnight. I’d had a month off and I was keen to get back into working.

What’s the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is getting to help the clients. I also love learning new things all the time. That’s what makes you want to work in IT. I love learning constantly and a job that challenges me every day and in as many ways as possible, otherwise I get very bored.

What’s the most fun thing you do outside of work?

That’s a hard decision. I do a lot of fun things outside of work. I’m very into anything I can pull apart and put back together, cars, motorbikes, even phones. I also really love the beach. I just moved out to Umina beach and it’s right on the coast.

What are you famous for?

I’m pretty easy going but I’m also very determined. I’m very spontaneous. I go on spontaneous drives, I buy lots of things and stuff like that. I like to have fun! I like a bit of adventure. I don’t like staying in the same spot. I don’t like it if I feel like I’m just working. I like a lot of work life balance, so I do as much as possible outside of work to stay in that zone.
