Meet The Team – David Mew, Services Manager
I started at Centrix in February 2016. Prior to joining I was working for another IT company in an Account Management role. I was attracted to Centrix because of the attitude Eddie and Peter had and the core values they’ve instilled in the company. I love that they are process driven. The value of “Customer love” is really key, giving the customers the solutions that they need, not just the ones they want to sell. I also found the structure in the team quite attractive. The fact that they have different levels within the technical team.
What’s the best part of your job?
Working with the Services Team. Being able to manage challenging issues. Being able to get to know the staff and really be able to help them achieve what’s best for the customer and what’s best for them. The culture within the team is great – it’s a team focussed culture and everyone really helps each other out.
What’s the most fun thing you do outside of work?
I coach Rugby Union. I’ve been involved with Drummoyne Rugby Club for the past 13 years. I played for them for 10 years and have been coaching for the last 3 years. I also do triathlons and did the New Zealand Ironman in March last year. I’m now signed up for the Melbourne Marathon in October and the Noosa Triathlon in November. Time management is quite challenging to fit it all in particularly throughout the winter coaching season, finding the time to coach and train.
What are you famous for?
My claim to fame would be the 37th player to play 100 first grade games for Drummoyne in 145 years.
