Systems Administrator


Position Summary:

  • The role of a Systems Administrator is to provide a wide variety of technical services to our clients. These services include but are not limited to onsite systems administration, performing proactive and reactive technical support and the design and implementation of our solutions. All Systems Administrators are expected to provide exceptional customer service and perform all duties with the company’s core beliefs and objectives in mind at all times.

Reports to:

  • Services Supervisor

Required attributes:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent problem resolution skills (both technical and customer service)
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with multiple tasks
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Required certificates and experience:

  • Completion of MCP, MTA or MCSA
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Driver’s license and motor vehicle

Detailed position description:

  • Perform regular and ad-hoc system administration services to external clients
  • Provide remote and onsite support to external clients
  • Perform proactive and reactive tasks for monitored environments
  • Troubleshoot and maintain LAN environments at external client’s sites
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PABX environments at external client’s sites
  • Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of our external clients
  • Diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems
  • Ensure all sites achieve an overall monthly health check score of 90%
  • Ensure all primary sites are patched as per our patch approval policies
  • Ensure documentation for all primary sites is accurate and updated regularly
  • Assist service desk with enquiries and escalations from your primary sites
